Volleyball Recap: Southern Wake Academy's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Southern Wake Academy was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Carolina Academy Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since October 1, 2024.

Southern Wake Academy was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (115-100), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 12-25, 17-25, 29-27, 16-14.

Their offense was headlined by Jayme Endicott and Brooklyn Taylor, who picked up six kills apiece. Taylor really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Southern Wake Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Central Carolina Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
