Baseball Recap: Wakefield Takes a Loss

Wakefield lost against McLean back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against the Highlanders, falling 11-1.

Wakefield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Barrington, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Barrington snagged this season.

Wakefield now has a losing record of 2-3. As for McLean, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wakefield is set to square off against their familiar foe Yorktown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, McLean will challenge rival Herndon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
