Volleyball Game Preview: Conant Cougars vs. Lake Park Lancers

The Conant Cougars will challenge the Lake Park Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Conant didn't have quite enough to beat Elk Grove and fell 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Conant sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Lake Park came up short against Glenbard North on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

Lake Park was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15.

Conant will have to contain Deven Townsend as she made an impact in Lake Park's last game. She had ten digs.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Lake Park, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
