Volleyball Recap: Carroll Tigers vs. Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles
Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.
Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sofia Barrera out in front who had six digs and three aces. Those six digs gave Barrera a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilyana Garza, who had nine digs and three aces.
Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
