Basketball Recap: Lyman Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Damir Carter and Kameron Mccall

Lyman was the 76-42 winner over Orangewood Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lyman Greyhounds received a blow on Monday as they fell 53-39 to the Orangewood Christian Rams.

Despite the defeat, Lyman had strong showings from Kameron Mccall, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, and Damir Carter, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave Carter a new career-high in rebounds (four).

Orangewood Christian found their leader in sophomore Ethan Toadvine, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 22 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Eli Dayao, who scored eight points.

Lyman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Orangewood Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Lyman has already played their next match (against Mount Dora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Orangewood Christian will host Holy Cross Lutheran Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orangewood Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
