Basketball Recap: Brya Appelhans' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Balko/Forgan over Geronimo

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Balko/Forgan can now relate to. They took a hard 50-35 fall against the Geronimo Blue Jays on Friday. Balko/Forgan's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Balko/Forgan's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brya Appelhans, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards. That's the most rebounds Appelhans has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Ott, who had ten points.

Balko/Forgan's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Geronimo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

As of now, neither Balko/Forgan nor Geronimo have any future games scheduled.
