It was fun while it lasted, but Atlantic Christian's undefeated season came to an end after 14 games on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Lake Worth Trojans. The Sharks lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-41 score last time.

Atlantic Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriel Poitier, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Poitier is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Javian Cleveland, who posted 16 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Atlantic Christian fell to 14-1. As for Lake Worth, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Atlantic Christian will take on Palm Beach Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Worth, they will square off against Archbishop McCarthy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
