Duncan had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 49-20 win over the Lourdes Catholic Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildkats also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Jared Kempton was a one-man wrecking crew as he made all 10 shots he took for 21 points along with seven boards and three steals. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Sumner, who shot 50% from the field en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Lourdes Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Duncan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-44 defeat against Joseph City on the 20th. Lourdes Catholic has also already played their next game (against Bisbee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
