Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal vs. Veritas School

For the first time this season, Trinity Episcopal will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Veritas School Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Trinity Episcopal is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Collegiate, who was ranked fourth at the time (Trinity Episcopal was ranked fifth). The Titans came up short against the Cougars on Thursday, falling 5-0. The loss was Trinity Episcopal's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Veritas School's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out St. Anne's-Belfield 1-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Veritas School's win bumped their record up to 6-0-1. As for Trinity Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.

Trinity Episcopal got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Veritas School by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
