The matchup between Marvin Ridge and Providence on Thursday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Mavericks were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Mavericks have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Marvin Ridge, bringing their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Providence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-3.

Coming up, Marvin Ridge will be playing at home against Porter Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence, they are taking a road trip to challenge Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
