Baseball Recap: William Campbell Takes a Loss

William Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 4-1 to the Altavista Colonels. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Colonels when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

William Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Altavista, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

William Campbell will take on Nelson County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Altavista, they will square off against Appomattox County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
