Volleyball Recap: West Jessamine Comes Up Short

West Jessamine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenwood Gators. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

West Jessamine's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Greenwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, West Jessamine and Greenwood will both be playing Tates Creek the next time they take the court. The Colts will head out to face the Commodores at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Gators will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
