Interstate Eight - Small recap November 5, 2013

Seneca made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,162 from 4,546. The improvement was the result of a 21-14 victory over Kewanee last week.

The Fighting Irish led Interstate Eight - Small in points allowed with 14.

Seneca's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Fighting Irish feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bo Taylor has thrown for 346 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Austin Applebee has 8 catches for 187 yards. Taylor also leads the league in rushing with 1,419 yards.

Tommy Lovett of the Seneca is just 84 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 149 carries Lovett has put up 916 yards this year.

Wilmington led the league in scoring this week after putting up 21 points.
