Basketball Recap: Coleman Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kendall Allen and Klaira Sysak

The Coleman Comets ended up a good deal behind the Nouvel Catholic Central Panthers on Monday and lost 51-33. The loss put an end to the Comets' undefeated start to the season.

Klaira Sysak and Kendall Allen certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Sysak dropped a double-double with 15 points and 18 boards, while Allen posted ten points and four steals. Sysak is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Coleman fell to 2-1. As for Nouvel Catholic Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coleman and St. Charles will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nouvel Catholic Central will take on Carrollton in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
