Basketball Recap: Randleman Has No Trouble Against Southwestern Randolph

Randleman won the last time they faced Southwestern Randolph and things went their way on Friday too. The Randleman Tigers were the clear victor by a 52-30 margin over the Southwestern Randolph Cougars. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Tyshaun Goldston was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Cassidy, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Randleman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Randleman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Southwestern Randolph, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Randleman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-66 win against Uwharrie Charter Academy on the 4th. As for Southwestern Randolph, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-50 loss against Eastern Randolph on the 4th.
