Baseball Game Preview: Norwalk Truckers vs. Sandusky Blue Streaks

The Norwalk Truckers will venture away from home to take on the Sandusky Blue Streaks at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Norwalk will be strutting in after a win while Sandusky will be coming in after a defeat.

While Norwalk didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Bellevue by a score of 6-2 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Truckers in their matchups with the Redmen: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Sandusky was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 7-2 to Columbian.

Norwalk pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sandusky, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Norwalk took their win against Sandusky when the teams last played on April 9th by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Truckers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
