After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Garinger finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Butler Bulldogs, falling 21-2. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Butler, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garinger will venture away from home to face off against East Mecklenburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Butler, they will head out to take on Providence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Butler surely won't give up without a fight.
