After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Scotts Valley, San Lorenzo Valley was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Santa Cruz Cardinals with a sharp 15-1 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

San Lorenzo Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Santa Cruz, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Lorenzo Valley will square off against Scotts Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Cruz, they will head out to challenge Aptos at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mariners' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
