Softball Game Preview: Beckman Patriots vs. El Toro Chargers

The Beckman Patriots will challenge the El Toro Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beckman will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Beckman's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past San Clemente 1-0.

Not much got past Kiyomi Okamoto, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep San Clemente off the board. Okamoto has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Beckman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Kim, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, El Toro suffered their closest loss since March 7th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Trabuco Hills by a score of 8-6.

El Toro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Beckman, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Beckman took their win against El Toro in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 13-6 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
