Volleyball Recap: Hartford Falls Despite Big Games from Tori Pohl and Kora Kirsch

Hartford was the 2-1 winner over Verona when they last played one another back in October of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Orioles fell 2-0 to the Wildcats on Saturday. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hartford had strong showings from Kora Kirsch, who had seven digs and three aces, and Tori Pohl, who had eight assists and five digs.

Sophia Trias was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs and two aces.

Hartford now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Verona, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Hartford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Union Grove on the 13th. As for Verona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against De Pere on the 13th.
