Football Game Preview: Century Diamondbacks vs. Pocatello Thunder + How To Watch

The Century Diamondbacks will face off against the Pocatello Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Century has seven straight victories, Pocatello has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Pocatello heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Century took over last week. The Diamondbacks walked away with a 22-15 win over Preston last Friday. The 22-point effort marked the Diamondbacks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Century to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tito Villano, who rushed for 164 yards while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Villano's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Justus Mangum, who rushed for 29 yards and two scores.

Meanwhile, Pocatello was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 12-7 to Preston.

Pocatello's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Century, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Century might still be hurting after the 27-3 loss they got from Pocatello when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Diamondbacks, Hunter May (who threw for 128 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 59 yards on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time.
