Softball Recap: Goodhue Comes Up Short

Goodhue came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lourdes Eagles, falling 15-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Goodhue's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Lourdes, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Goodhue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lourdes, they will head out on the road to square off against Caledonia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
