Football Recap: South Lake Takes a Loss

South Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 14-6 to the East Ridge Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-0 back in February.

South Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Ridge, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, South Lake will face off against Eustis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Ridge, they will challenge Tavares at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Ridge will be up against Tavares' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
