Basketball Recap: White County Finds Home Court Redemption Against Greater Atlanta Christian

There's no place like home for White County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans by a score of 53-43 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-44 back in January.

Despite the loss, Greater Atlanta Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dru Jeckewicz posted 13 points and six rebounds. Jaymee Carter was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five boards and three steals.

White County's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11.

White County and Greater Atlanta Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. White County will challenge Lumpkin County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 194 places (52 vs. 246). Meanwhile, Greater Atlanta Christian (ranked 124th) will meet Johnson (ranked 493rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
