Preview: Oroville Tigers vs. Central Valley Falcons

Oroville has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Central Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Oroville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.

Oroville struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (Orland had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Oroville fell 51-42 to Orland. Oroville has struggled against Orland recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Ethan Broussard put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points along with three steals. Jaime Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Central Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Anderson, falling 63-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Central Valley has suffered since December 28, 2023.

Oroville has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Central Valley, their loss was their 19th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

Oroville came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2020, sneaking past 53-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oroville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
