Basketball Game Preview: Northern Nash Knights vs. Southern Nash Firebirds

Northern Nash and Southern Nash are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Northern Nash Knights will challenge the Southern Nash Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern Nash has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 25.

Last Tuesday, Northern Nash came up short against Nash Central and fell 49-41. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly eight points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southern Nash, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bunn on Wednesday, sneaking past 44-41.

Southern Nash pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Northern Nash, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Northern Nash came up short against Southern Nash when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 49-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Southern Nash's Hailey Knight, who posted 22 points.
