Baseball Recap: Dr. Phillips Takes a Loss

Dr. Phillips saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell just short of the IMG Academy Silver Ascenders by a score of 7-5.

Diego Diaz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Chris Pedrinan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Dr. Phillips now has a losing record of 8-9. As for IMG Academy Silver, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Dr. Phillips will welcome Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on March 26th. As for IMG Academy Silver, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Petersburg Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on March 26th. IMG Academy Silver's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so St. Petersburg Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
