The Mission Valley Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Central Heights as Mission Valley made off with a 57-31 victory. That 57-31 margin sets a new team best for Mission Valley this season.

Mission Valley found their leader in underclassman Kailynn Jacobson, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Lillie Foster was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Mission Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Central Heights, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Council Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Central Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Osage City at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Osage City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
