Volleyball Recap: Mesa Verde Comes Up Short

If Mesa Verde was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Woodland Christian last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mesa Verde fell just short of the Union Mine Diamondbacks by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Mesa Verde took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-27, 25-17, 15-12.

Mesa Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Union Mine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Mesa Verde has already played their next match (against Vacaville Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Union Mine, they are taking a road trip to square off against El Dorado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
