Baseball Recap: Chewelah Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Chewelah finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Freeman Scotties by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Scotties: they've now lost four in a row.

Chewelah's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Freeman, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Scotties beat Chewelah by a score of 2-1 later that day.
