Baseball Recap: York Catholic Takes a Loss

York Catholic fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Christian School of York on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Christian School of York by a score of 4-3. The Fighting Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aiden Zallnick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Connor Latrechiano, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

York Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Christian School of York, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. York Catholic will welcome Biglerville at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The game will give York Catholic their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Christian School of York, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Conestoga Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
