Baseball Recap: Fort Stockton Comes Up Short

Fort Stockton fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Pecos on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Rylan Nunez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Villarreal, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Fort Stockton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8. As for Pecos, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.
