Baseball Recap: Plymouth Christian Academy Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

While Plymouth Christian Academy's victory against Boyne City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Ramblers 7-6. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Micah Lavigne, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Brandon Shollack also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Boyne City, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12-1.
