Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Central Indians vs. Chesterton Trojans

The Lake Central Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Chesterton Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Lake Central took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Valparaiso.

Lake Central walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Chesterton entered their tilt with La Porte on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Slicers 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

Lake Central better keep an eye on Adam LeNeave. He was instrumental in Chesterton's win, getting 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs LeNeave has posted over his last eight contests. Randall Deutscher also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.

Chesterton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Lake Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Lake Central beat Chesterton 3-1 in their previous matchup last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
