Soccer Recap: Zephyrhills Comes Up Short

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Zephyrhills was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Patel Trailblazers an easy 6-1 win. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 0-0 back in November.

Zephyrhills has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Patel, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Zephyrhills and Cypress Creek will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Zephyrhills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Patel, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
