Volleyball Recap: Douglas County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Douglas County had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Severance Silver Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Douglas County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Charlie Worcester paced Douglas County's offense, picking up eight kills. Worcester got some help from Blake Allen and his 27 assists. Jayden Chan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Douglas County's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Severance, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coincidentally, Douglas County and Severance will both be playing Pueblo South the next time they take the court. Severance will host Pueblo South at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Douglas County will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
