Columbus International won the last time they faced East and things went their way  on Friday too. The Columbus International Lions breezed by the East Tigers to the tune of  75-47. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight  matches by 22  points or more this season.
It was another big night for  Leila Carter, who  shot 5-for-8  from downtown and  almost  dropped  a triple-double on 30 points, ten  rebounds,  and nine  assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of Columbus International's points. Another player making a difference was  Marley Benson, who  posted 15  points along with eight  assists and seven  steals.
 Carter wasn't the only one working in the  assists department: Columbus International was working as a unit and  finished the game with 24  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 When it comes to explaining why East lost, don't look at  Kaliyah Barron. Despite the final result, she  dropped  a double-double on 23 points and 19  boards. Barron is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down ten or more in the last 29 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Makeda Inman was another key player,  putting up 16  points and eight  boards.
Columbus International has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 60.5 points per game. As for East, their loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-10.
 Columbus International wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  51-48  defeat against Linden-McKinley on the 27th. East has also  already played their next matchup,  a  69-23  loss against Centennial on the 27th.
