Football Game Preview: West Bend-Mallard Wolverines vs. Riceville Wildcats

The West Bend-Mallard Wolverines will take on the Riceville Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Friday, West Bend-Mallard humbled North Iowa with a 58-18 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riceville). They claimed a resounding 62-12 victory over Northwood-Kensett.

The win got Riceville back to even at 2-2. As for West Bend-Mallard, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything came up roses for West Bend-Mallard against Riceville when the teams last played back in October of 2023, as the squad secured a 64-26 win. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
