Volleyball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy fell just short of Mount Paran Christian by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy in their meetings with Mount Paran Christian: they've now lost six in a row.

Lilli Monroe paced Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Monroe got some help from Sam Karel and her 11 assists. Anslee Balachowski controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mount Paran Christian was led to victory by Nola Belle Schoenborn and Kelsie Moran. Schoenborn had 15 digs and two assists, while Moran had 16 digs and three assists. Those 15 digs gave Schoenborn a new career-high.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-18. As for Mount Paran Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-10.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against King's Ridge Christian on the 23rd. As for Mount Paran Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Walker at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
