Preview: St. Luke's Storm vs. Greens Farms Academy Dragons
St. Luke is 10-0 against Greens Farms Academy since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The St. Luke's Storm will look to defend their home court against the Greens Farms Academy Dragons at 4:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
St. Luke's can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rye Country Day by a score of 72-65.
St. Luke's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Sommers out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Finn, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Greens Farms Academy had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Rocky Hill Country Day on the road and fell 91-59.
St. Luke's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Greens Farms Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
St. Luke's beat Greens Farms Academy 73-61 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will St. Luke's repeat their success, or does Greens Farms Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
