Basketball Recap: Trinity Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Academy lost against Emporia back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trinity Academy Knights lost 71-46 to the Emporia Spartans.

Emporia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Harrington, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Those 15 points gave Harrington a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Shivley, who posted nine points.

Trinity Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Emporia, their record now sits at 5-3.

Trinity Academy has already played their next match, a 45-41 victory against El Dorado on the 24th. As for Emporia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-40 defeat against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on the 24th.
