Basketball Recap: Wesley Chapel Finds Playoff Glory Versus River Ridge

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wesley Chapel had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the River Ridge Royal Knights, posting a 76-45 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats who have now won six matchups in a row.

It was another big night for Sian Morris, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Aguilar, who posted nine points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Wesley Chapel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

River Ridge's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Golden, who scored ten points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Tommy DeLoreto, who had eight points and 13 rebounds.

Wesley Chapel's record is now 19-7. As for River Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Wesley Chapel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-60 loss against Fivay on the 7th. River Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
