Volleyball Recap: Indy Genesis HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Indy Genesis HomeSchool was the 2-0 winner over Tournament Opponent when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Indy Genesis fell just short of Tournament Opponent by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Indy Genesis didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Tournament Opponent 25-19 in the first set.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Finley Smith paced Indy Genesis HomeSchool's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Aliyah Smithers and her 23 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Coming up, Indy Genesis HomeSchool will challenge Heritage Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tournament Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Hagerty on the 23rd.
