Franklin has gone 8-2 against Oak Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Franklin Wildcats will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Oak Ridge Trojans at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Franklin is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Whitney. Franklin came out on top against Whitney by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Jason Harris, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Noah Flores, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge beat Lodi 7-3 on Thursday. The Trojans have beaten the Flames the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Flames has come to flipping the script.

Oak Ridge also got a great performance from Ethan Lamb as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Lamb a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Ryan Hubbard was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. Dylan Busalacchi was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Franklin took their victory against Oak Ridge when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3. Will Franklin repeat their success, or does Oak Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
