Baseball Game Preview: Argyle Orioles vs. Pecatonica Vikings

Argyle is 0-10 against Pecatonica since May of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Orioles will venture away from home to take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Argyle after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 13-3 to Albany. That's two games in a row now that the Orioles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Argyle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Berget, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Pecatonica and Highland, and Pecatonica kept the tradition alive. The Vikings came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 7-2 on Thursday.

Argyle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pecatonica, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Argyle suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Pecatonica when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
