Spring Hill waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Ottawa Cyclones an 8-0 shutout. Spring Hill might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by five goals or more this season.

Spring Hill pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Ottawa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
