Baseball Recap: Indianola Academy Comes Up Short

Indianola Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Delta Green Wave. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Colonels have suffered since February 26, 2024.

Indianola Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for North Delta, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indianola Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on O'Bannon at 5:00 p.m. on April 17. As for North Delta, they will head out to square off against Winona Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Delta is facing Winona Christian at the right time seeing as Winona Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
