Football Game Preview: Meridian Trojans vs. Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks + How To Watch

The Meridian Trojans will challenge the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marysville-Pilchuck took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Meridian, who comes in off a win.

Meridian took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They took down Blaine 43-24. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

A big part of Meridian's victory came down to the chemistry between Pierce Brzozowski and his top target Daniel Larsen. Brzozowski picked up 61 receiving yards and two TDs while Larsen picked up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meridian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Blaine to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Trojans weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65%.

Meanwhile, Marysville-Pilchuck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Anacortes and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Tomahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Seahawks are ranked 18th).

Marysville-Pilchuck's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Meridian, they moved to 6-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
