Baseball Game Preview: Dwight Trojans vs. Seneca Fighting Irish

Dwight is 1-9 against Seneca since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dwight came up short against Putnam County and fell 6-2.

Meanwhile, Seneca waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors an 11-0 shutout. The game marked the Fighting Irish's most dominant victory of the season.

Seneca picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-12. As for Dwight, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Dwight couldn't quite finish off Seneca when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
