Basketball Game Preview: Highland Park Giants vs. Deerfield Warriors

The Highland Park Giants will head out on the road to face off against the Deerfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Highland Park is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake Forest Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 57-48 to the Caxys.

Meanwhile, Deerfield didn't have quite enough to beat Taft on Monday and fell 39-37. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Highland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Highland Park strolled past Deerfield in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 40-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
